PRODUCER - Steak House started her career as an Independent Producer at the NY Underground Film Festival with the groundbreaking short film Lez B Friends/A Biker Bitch Hate Story. Prior to that Steak graduated from USC and worked as Coordinator, AD and UPM with credits including Matrix: Reloaded/Revolutions and cartoons for Nickelodeon, Fox and WB.

Steak formed Steakhaus Productions where she produced the indie classic By Hook or By Crook, a 2002 Sundance premiere and five-time Best Feature. The film secured theatrical release from Artistic License, and continues to be broadcast on The Sundance Channel. In addition to Sundance, Steak’s films have screened at major festivals including Tribeca, SXSW and LAFF.

In 2005, she returned to Sundance with Billy’s Dad is a Fudgepacker, produced Che, starring Eduardo Noriega and co-produced For the Love of Dolly. Steak is currently in post-production on Jake Lead, directed by Josh Evans and is set to produce Speedway (IFP, No Borders) and House Broken (IFP, Emerging Narrative) in 2006.


CONSULTING PRODUCER - Jenni Olson is the former director of the San Francisco International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, and is the current producer of PopcornQ, a massive gay and lesbian film and video website. Her book, The Ultimate Guide To Lesbian & Gay Film and Video, was published by Serpent's Tail in June 1996. In addition to writing and directing the short film BLUE DIARY (which has played at more than fifty film festivals since its debut at the Berlin Film Festival in 1998). Jenni associate produced the British Channel 4 documentary, Jodie: An Icon, as well as the award wining Cinemascope Technicolor short The Offering. She is currently producing a feature documentary about gay refugees, This Way Out.


CONSULTING PRODUCER - Annie Imhoff grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, where she earned a BA in Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin. As a production manager on Bruce La Bruce's HUSTLER WHITE, Annie cut her teeth and honed her skills as a scrappy yet savvy production resource scoring an audience favorite at the Sundance Film Festival as well as many other film festivals worldwide. Annie went on to line produce Paul Duran's THE DOGWALKER, David Wendell's SMUT and Adam Collis’ COUNTDOWN. Most recently, she line produced the Lars von Trier-produced, Dogma 95 movie called AMERIKANA directed by James Merendino (“SLC Punk”) for Zentropa Entertainment. She also works as a free-lance production manager for MTV and VH1 in their Dramatic Series Development Division. In addition she has produced several independent shorts (PHAROAH'S HEART, THE GRACES, NET OF JEWELS, SPACE BOOTY) that have played in national and international film festivals.


DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY - Ann T Rossetti is the cinematographer of such films as the 1994 Sundance Film Festival smash GO FISH distributed by Samuel Goldwyn. Ushering in the New Queer Cinema movement, the film not only attained a historical place in independent filmmaking, but achieved international acclaim, winning awards at festivals worldwide. Visually inventive,and independently fresh GO FISH inspired a new generation of films with its crossover success.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER/PRODUCTION MANAGER - Laurie Sirois has spend the majority of this decade in the software industry -- working on all-star, hit titles like the After Dark, Disney and Simpson's screen savers; You Don't Know Jack; Dogz and Catz. Most recently she Produced Babyz -- the world's first virtual human -- to be released this fall by Mattel. She brings her skills and dedication to creating innovative, top-quality products to this, her first feature film.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER - BRIAN MURPHY graduated from San Francisco's New College with a Bachelor of Arts in counseling and preventative education for youth relating to HIV. He worked as a Master Piercer for the Gauntlet in Los Angeles, San Francisco and later New York City where he also worked as a theatrical lighting intern at PS 122. As a member of the Ron Athey Co. Brian has toured the world extensively as a performance artist and prop master and was a conceptualist and scenic director of the already mentioned Retarded Whore Productions. In January 2000 he returned to San Francisco to become a producer at Steakhaus Productions.

SSOCIATE PRODUCER- As a teenage runaway CROSS began working as a visual artist in the 80's, creating multimedia installations for night clubs and gallery spaces and collaborating with various punk/industrial/noise bands (Speed Queens, Strong Silent Type) from the Los Angeles area. In 1990 she opened her own piercing Studio in Los Angeles, Primeval Body, which she successfully owned and operated for 8 years. During this time she also toured the world as a member of the Ron Athey Co. and with Julie Tolentino's The Bottom Project. She recently relocated to San Francisco to join forces with Steak and Brian as a producer at Steakhaus Productions. For the past three years Cross has worked in the film industry as a scenic artist, prop master and art director.


2nd A.D. - Sini Anderson. Over the past twelve years, Anderson has performed, produced, and directed in various art mediums. Working with such artists as Annie Sprinkle, Marga Gomez, Felice Shays, Stanya Kahn, Eileen Myles, and many more. Anderson is a performance poet, Artistic Director, Founder, and Co-Host of Sister Spits Ramblin' Road Show, an all-girl traveling spoken word show that has been touring the U.S. and Canada for the past five years. Her other recent film work includes 2nd A.D., Artistic Consultant, and Assoc. Producer on the feature length film, Mango Me, and Co-Director of the short film, Fumbling Towards Rock. Anderson recently received a grant from the San Francisco Art Commission in support of her second solo show in the National Queer Arts Festival.


2ND CAMERA- Since 1986 filmmaker Sarah Kennedy has been producing superlative work with an emphasis on the political. She has written and directed several of her own pieces, including Light Riders (1993), She Was Horrid (1994) and Dirty Fingernails (1996). Sarah also produced several erotic anthologies that have enjoyed considerable international attention, shot and directed several successful commercials, and served as Cinematographer on numerous films including Vicious (1999), and the winner of a Golden Spire Award at the 2000 San Francisco International Film Festival "Live, Nude, Girls, UNITE!" a feature length documentary which she also co-edited and co-produced.


PRODUCTION DESIGNER - Samara Halperin has been making short films and videos for ten years. Her films, Shari Shapiro's Slumber Party and Tumbleweed Town have shown in 15 festivals around the world (including London Lesbian and Gay Film festival, Out On Screen/Vancouver Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and Austin Gay and Lesbian Film Festival). She is from New York, now living in Oakland CA. She loves cowboys, corndogs, palm trees and John Waters.

ART DIRECTOR/STILLS - Chloe Sherman works out of San Francisco as a documentary photographer. Her work has appeared in multiple publications including Out in America, Research: angry women in rock, Interview magazine, Rolling stone magazine, Deneuve, and the Advocate. Most recently her photographs sold to Artlink at Sotheby's.


SCRIPT SUPERVISOR - Tai Uhlmann recently completed her first feature length documentary, For the Love of Dolly, about Dolly Parton’s most devoted fans. For The Love of Dolly has been written about in the New York Times and featured in the novel Starstruck, by Micheal Joseph Gross. She also directed the internationally acclaimed short documentary, Bad Jews in my Kitchen.

Tai has worked in film and Television for the past 7 Years, as the script supervisor for festival favorite By Hook or By Crook (Sundance 2002) and most recently at Edgeworx (NYC) as a Post Production Supervisor, working on the documentaries Easy Rider, Raging Bulls (Cannes 2003, BBC, Trio), The Kid Stays in the Picture, a USA Production (Sundance 2002, HBO), and Live From New York, the First 5 Years of Saturday Night Live (NBC and Emmy Nomination) and SNL in the ‘80s.


Killer Banshee Studios creates works in many disciplines. Run by Co-Owners Kriss De Jong and Eliot Daughtry, the studio does sound design, composition, recording, editing, mixing and production for film, multimedia, CD, and live performance. Kriss & Eliot's experimental music project Passiondoll plays around San Francisco when they aren't producing audio for film projects and their live improvisational group Bad'n'Wrong has performed at Wembley Stadium-London, New Music Center at the Pompidou-Paris & Electromuse-Seattle via Rocket Network technology.

Carla Bozulich
is best known as the powerful singer from LA- based band The Geraldine Fibbers (released 2 albums on Virgin Records and 1 on Sympathy for the Record Industry). Before that she was the gamine howler in the confrontational sexual assault outfit Ethyl Meatplow (released an album, several 7" singles, and three 12"s. , MK's promotional remix of "Queenie" was so bootlegged that it charted at no. 2 on the billboard charts!). Carla possesses one of the most unique voices in any genre and was nominated for "Best Female Vocalist" in BAM magazine. She is currently working in a duo with Nels Cline called Scarnella (debut CD on Smells Like Records).

Nels Cline began playing guitar in 1967. He has traveled the world in various rock, jazz and avant-garde ensembles including Dr. Art Davis (Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie), Minutemen bassist Mike Watt, Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore and art-rockers the Geraldine Fibbers. He was chosen as the Outstanding Jazz Artist of 1999 by the California Music Awards. He has played on more than seventy albums, scored two films and produced several excellent albums.

Steak House and Brian Murphy produce indie projects from conception through post-production using the latest in DV technology. Be on the lookout for three shorts and a feature in 2002. Their award winning website was created to showcase artists they have collaborated with and will produce in the future.
