TUBS is our latest effort, with the Illinore Show, to combine the ideas of various artists. It involves 10 artists, 10 foods and 10 bathtubs. Each artist will be immersed in the edible medium of his or her choice. TUBS explores and satirizes a fetishistic perspective on modern relationships through consumption using 10 unique subjects and situations and 10 symbolic interactions.

Intended to be rich and ornate, in a style reminiscent of Buzby Berkley, employing synchronicity and multiplicity of movement. Using digital graphics applications, the intent is to experiment with the medium beyond our previous endeavors. Saturation of color and texture will be combined with ambiance and effected in a non-narrative style.

The project already has commitment from a core group of diverse artists. TUBS is very feasible in nature and budget, with a great cast and crew eager to participate. With this combination of dedication and talent we have the potential for a visually explosive result.

LEZ B FRIENDS/ A BIKER BITCH HATE STORY, our first video with The Illinore Show was highly colorful, fast paced and cartoon like. We want to exaggerate these qualities and take them to a higher level. TUBS will be a challenge to create visually and will be an interesting collaborative effort.

STEAK HOUSE...producer...Most recent projects include BY HOOK OR BY CROOK and LEZ B FRIENDS/A BIKER BITCH HATE STORY (co-produced/directed with Lou Ponder). Steak promoted and performed at San Francisco's Club Jesus, with Ron Athey at LATC, LACE, Highways, PS 122, and all across America as Ethyl Meatplows Cross Dressing Go-Go Boy. A driving force in the Bay Area establishing collaborative artwork projects, Steak is currently contemplating to frolic or not.

LOUANNE PONDER...director/art director...She has directed and produced a myriad of internationally screened independent videos including LEZ B FRIENDS/A BIKER BITCH HATE STORY (with Steak House) and as part of the Illinore Show, A PIMP'S XMAS CAROL.

RON ZISOOK...director...Ron has been creating independent film and video for the past seventeen years, including LOOKING FOR A GOOD COCK, A PIMP'S XMAS CAROL and WAYNE.

TAI UHLMANN...camera operator...Tai directed BAD JEWS IN MY KITCHEN, a documentary on Jewish dykes which has been screened internationally. She is currently editing her film, BREATH OF THE WORLD.

BATHING ARTISTS

BRIAN MURPHY...was one of the founding members of Retarded Whore Productions and has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe with the Ron Athey Co. at Highways, ICA, CCA,P.S.122 and the Rotterdam Film Festival. Brian has also performed with David Rouseve Reality Co. and Julie Tolentino. He will be stewing naked(as usuall) in chicken a la king, complete with swim cap and snorkell for life support.

RON DONOVAN...world-renowned silk-screen superstar. Ron makes a rare film appearance that only Steak House could pull off. The lure of chili cheese fries in mass quantity, left him saying "naked or not, here I come".

STEPHEN HOLMAN...performer, painter, comic-book artist and animation director. Stephen is currently based in San Francisco. He's best known for his performance troupes TORTURE CHORUS and THEATRE CARNIVALE. Seduced by his dream of submersion in split-pea soup, Stephen couldn't commit himself fast enough.

FELICIA HOUSE...animal whisperer. The lovely Felicia has promoted and performed at San Francisco's Club Jesus and performed with Ron Athey at LATC. Felicia will be the focal point of TUBS, luxuriating in a bath of molten chocolate screaming her favorite three words, "I love chocolateÉI love chocolateÉI love chocolateÉ".

JOSEPHINE HUANG...artist, performer, musician. Josephine has performed internationally with her lo-techno/performance band POO-POO-BOMB and most recently returned from a theatre stint in Tokyo with The Poo-Poo Baboon Family Theatre. She moonlights as a stop-motion animation director. Josephine, under the delusion that white glue is a food, longs to immerse herself in it.

PHATIMA SHE RUDE...self-proclaimed gender-dyslexic deity pagan hoax amongst other things. She has performed at nine out of ten clubs in San Francisco over the past decade. Phatima looks forward to hungrily plowing through a tub crammed with chicken wings.

ANDY SOMMA...artist and performer of surreal lounge acts. Andy has performed at venues across the United States including Manhattan's the Kitchen, LA MAMA, Franklin Furnace, PS 122 and San Francisco's The Magic Theatre and The LAB. Inspired since he was knee-high by his idol Roger Daltry, Andy plans to honor him with an homage to the Who's, The Who Sells Out soaking in baked beans.

GGREG TAYLOR...AKA NAMBLA the Clown. NAMBLA the Clown is an infamous San Francisco club promoter who has produced world-famous underground parties and niteclubs since the mid-1980's as well as producing San Francisco's Gay Day Parade. NAMBLA looks forward to embarking on his newest performance of the now-classic Clown Entangled With Cotton Candy.

CROSS...teenage runaway, star of stage and screen,go-go boy by night scenic artist by day. After a J Leno guest appearance and extensive self inflicted touring with the Ron Athey Co. is now appearing as premiere bottom in Julie Tolentinos BOTTOM PROJECT. Will be soaking in a sea of live smelt.
